Saghar Setarehさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Saghar SetarehInstagram)「Spent the last Sunday of July of this very strange year making something sweet and many other things sour — cuz I'm Persian and sour is how we like our treats. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As I went round and round poaching and roasting and whisking and styling and shooting, this song kept playing in my head: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Strawberries, cherries and an angel's kiss in spring, My summer wine is really made from all these things... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Well, my summer pavlova was definitely not made of strawberries, cherries and angels' kiss, but it did have some summer fizzy wine, that I sipped on while I actually used it to poach juicy red plums, with a cinnamon stick, cardamom pods and cloves. A nudge to a proper mulled wine and Christmas which can't come soon enough, because don't we all want this year to be over and forgotten? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then I sat down on the floor of my balcony at sunset and had a taste (ok, ate half the damn thing), and celebrated with more summer wine.
