I came to know about this little charming kitchen studio shortly after its opening 5 years ago when I myself had shortly started to work in the world of food. Since that day, and the beginning of the friendship with @alicekiandra.adams who runs the studio, I’ve had the privilege of meeting many interesting people from all around the world who share the passion for good, genuine food and learn from them; cooks, stylists, photographers, and eager students. I’ve had the honor to host Persian feasts, teach the cookery of my country in the company of the most amazing people and to share my knowledge of food photography with keen individuals and groups that attended my workshops during the past years. And I have had the pleasure of eating fabulous, high quality food; mostly Italian, from different regions, but also occasionally from other parts of the world. Latteria Studio in Via Ponziano will soon close, and although I know that sometime in the not-so-far future @alicekiandra.adams will open the studio again in a more practical and possibly larger space, I can’t hide that I’m quite heartbroken at the news. If there was one concrete matter that could sign this strange period as an #endofanera, for me it’s definitely the closing of Latteria Studio. In the meantime, next Tuesday, June 9th from 11 am to 5 pm, there will be one last open studio where some props and jams from the #neighborhoodoragnes project will be on sale. Come over (we’re in phase 3 after all) and take a look at this gorgeous space. If you have a project in mind and you need a space in Rome, this might just be the place for you. I’ll be there, and it’ll be my first real outing in more than 3 months (that is not a hospital), and I can’t wait to see some familiar faces, even if under masks.
