Being disconnected from other adults, especially my friends and family that can help me cope with the challenges of raising a child in this world. So, yesterday, we made the decision to take Olly down to the beach to play in the sand so he could at least watch other babies and children running by at a distance with at least some form of socialisation — to know and remember what he saw and what it felt like again. He was absolutely mesmerized by them, but I wondered if this would be the case if he was able to interact with babies his age, if coronavirus wasn't plaguing our Earth. Through play and other peer interactions, I’ve read that our children develop social skills, a sense of morality as well as their cognitive development. With any luck, social distancing will gradually stop the spread of COVID-19 and Oliver WILL be able to play once again. Coronavirus has already reminded me of how important we all are to each other, so I wanted to ask to my fellow mamas, how have you been coping? What have you been doing for you and your little one?
