I actually don’t have much hair on the TOP of my head — believe it or not, and the bulk of my hair starts from the sides of my head 🤷🏽‍♀️. So creating a nice even ponytail is actually very difficult for me, and I usually give up after 5 tries. Sooooooo, with lots of research and advice from hairstylists over the years I’ve learned to do the perfect one myself. Here are my tips and tricks :) 1. Make sure hair is a day or two old as this makes it easier to put up in a ponytail. 2. Brush hair all over. 3. Section hair at the top and then generously spray the crown roots with volumizing dry shampoo then massage into scalp to soak up the oils. 4. Pull hair up into a pony tail and secure with elastic. 5. Gently pull sections of the crown hair out from the ponytail to create more volume on top, and then re-tighten ponytail. 6. Smooth stray hairs with hairspray 7. Grab a section from the pony TAIL,spray with hairspray and wrap around the ponytail NECK to create an elegant look. 8. Secure section of the hair to the elastic with wide base bobby pins 9. And done! My biggest tip would be the VOLUMIZING dry shampoo and a day or two old hair for the perfect pony!
