In summary your options are: 1. Non-Lucrative Visa (what I'll be getting but need to go back to US to get it...you also need to show you have €25k in savings ..this means you don't plan on working for a Spanish company, but you can work for yourself or remotely for another country) 2. Work Visa (hardest to get) 3. Student Visa (doesn't give you residency) 4. Domestic Partnership Visa (AKA "Pareja de Hecho" if you're living w your partner who has citizenship here) Then there's some options for citizenship like: 5. Renew an above visa for 10 years 6. Dual Citizenship if you're father and grandfather are born here (apparently the WOMEN who actually birth you out don't count) 7. Marry a citizen!
