A Kenya safari was high on my bucketlist, so I snuck it in after seeing the Northern Lights in Norway and before heading to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro (if that doesn’t scream BUCKETLIST ADDICT idk what does)! *Translated in Spanish in the comments!* . I booked a budget safari to Masai Mara (northern part of the Serengeti) last minute, and it was definitely interesting! Not sure how entirely legit it was but I did see the big 5 in one day, which you can see in this video! . In case you’re wondering, the Big 5 Animals of Africa are: Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant, and Buffalo, and I have a tattoo of an elephant with the number 5 in it on my bucketlist tattoo to represent this epic check mark! . A few uh, funny things that happened: our safari truck got stuck in sand in the middle of a lions den, which we were way too close to bc our guide said “some people only have camera phones so we need to go closer so they can see them”, then we got a flat tire and had to get out of the truck in the middle of the park, and last but not least, when I finally arrived in Tanzania, they stopped me at the airport and made me get a Yellow Fever shot AT the airport since Kenya is a YF zone...putting that vide gem on mah Stories. . So yeah! Highly recommended but maybe with a uh, a little more planning than I did...I have everything you need to know on my blog! . I will say PLEASE choose National Parks to see these amazing animals over zoos, game reserves, or whatever the gross F Tiger King calls itself, bc that is the only place where these animals are protected in their natural habitats!!! .
