I was free diving on the exposed, wave beaten side of Cabo Douglas (Galapagos) searching for feeding marine iguanas. I was almost out of breath when I swum around a large boulder and was greeted by a iconic sight. A marine iguana sitting on a algae cloaked rock the way I would imagine King Neptune on his throne. All that was missing was the iguana clutching a trident 🔱 to complete the scene. I only managed to fire off a few frames before I had to return to the surface for air. When I returned to the bottom just minutes later the iguana has moved on. Shot on assignment for @ナショナルジオグラフィック in collaboration with @parquegalapagos and @charlesdarwinfoundation
