I remember this flight like it was yesterday. Just as fuel was running low a second rainbow appeared in the channel between D’Arros Island and St. Joseph atoll. I only got one more pass to photograph before we had to land, but it was just enough time to capture this scene. In March 2020 the waters around these two islands were declared the Seychelles newest marine protected area. The @saveourseasfoundation operates a research station on D’Arros and conducts science critical to the conservation of sharks, manta rays, turtles, reef fish and corals.
