I must admit I’ve woken up crying for the past few days before I can get on with my day of attempting to homeschool Jacob and nursing Jade back to health. I’m grateful to have a focus, structure and simple tasks right now but I can’t ignore the pain I’m feeling for our world. . The hardest part for me is knowing how many people are dying, and sadly without their loved ones by their side. So I allow it in, have a good cry, and find my way back to hope, remembering this will all pass, and reminding myself there is so much beauty in this world. I come back to focus on today, the here and now, and what I can do to help. I know by staying home, social distancing, washing my hands, supporting small, local businesses (online shopping), giving my family lots of love and reassurance, and focusing on self care, that I am already doing so much to help protect our global family and all our loved ones. Together we can and we absolutely need to stop the spread, loss of life, #flattenthecurve and protect our most vulnerable 🙏🏼 . In a time when it’s easy to feel helpless and depressed, please know how much we can all do by simply staying home. In doing so we honour our brave healthcare workers of the world who are risking their lives for us every single day in the most challenging conditions. They have my deepest respect and gratitude for their sacrifice. . My heart is with you all. I’m here for you. Message me whenever you need. Together, day by day, we will move through this.
