さんのインスタグラム写真 - (Instagram)「On this new day of this new decade I am honestly still deeply affected and heartbroken by the bushfire devastation that came so close to my family in Mallacoota 😢 . The last 48 hours have been emotionally so tough. I have barely slept as I anxiously awaited the sound of my mum’s voice each time I would check in to see if they were ok while they bunkered down by the beach with the community. Knowing all the while that a huge fire front creating its own weather was heading towards them. I could hear the sirens, the wind, and terrifying noise of the fire through the phone as the fire front was approaching the town. I felt utterly helpless, paralyzed with fear. I was amazed by how calm my parents were and the community as day turned to pitch black night and that eerie red glow of fire filled the sky. . Today I congratulate and thank all the firefighters and emergency services who worked so bravely, and are still working though the new year to save lives. They are the reason my family and the community in Mallacoota are ok and I can never thank them enough. . Somehow my parents home made it through the fire and they are now back home and resting and healing from this traumatic ordeal. My heart goes out to all affected by these fires. There has been so much loss 😔 Loss of lives, homes, animals and our beautiful land 😢 . Your prayers, love and messages have helped us more than you know. Thank you so so much.
