You’ve heard me say it many times before- it’s not about just doing a certain exercise, but it’s how you perform the exercise that matters.
Here, @Tomflynn14 and I did some bicep curls with our backs and triceps pinned up against a machine in order to eliminate any unwanted momentum.
What happens oftentimes when the biceps get exhausted during curls, is you will either compensate by leaning forward, or swinging and using momentum to get the weight up.
By preventing yourself from doing either of those things, you will perform much more slow and methodical repetitions, which will ultimately help the body part you are targeting grow.
Lose the idea that more weight on an exercise = bigger muscles. Focus and lock in on your mind-muscle connection and what you should be feeling, and then slowly increase your weights overtime.
