Similarly, I’ve never been one to buy into New Years Resolutions. I don’t think I’ve ever made a resolution in my life! Instead of resolutions, I focus on intentions and goals that are achievable over the long term, not just in 30 days. . I’ve also never believed a new year means you need to become a “new you” or build a “‘new body”. Why not work on improving the existing, amazing you that you already are?? . For an optimist, I sure sound like quite a pessimist when it comes to the New Year 🤣 but perhaps I’m more of a realist. It becoming a new year absolutely is exciting, but I just can’t help but feel like nothing in the new year is going to change on its own, unless you put in the work to make that change happen. . Personally I think recognizing that only you are capable of making a change in your life is EMPOWERING. The moment you stop waiting for someone else to do the work for you, or for someone else to improve your life, is the moment you take back control and can start building the life you’ve always wanted and always deserved. .
