Photo by @daisygilardini | Water, according to the strict dictionary definition, is a colorless, transparent, odorless liquid that forms the seas, lakes, rivers, and rain and forms the molecular basis of fluids in living organisms.
Water color depends on environmental conditions. When you look at water, you see the molecular impurities that have been dissolved in it. While it looks transparent in small quantities—in a glass, for example—pure water has a slightly blue tint that becomes a deeper blue in greater quantities, such as lakes and oceans.
The beautiful turquoise color of the Antarctic water in this picture is due to weak absorption of reds in the visible spectrum, coupled with the sunlight reflecting off the white iceberg.
