*reunited and it feels so goOd*!!!

back to therapy number one: iron, perseverance, and perspiration lol💧. this was my first workout back and to say I felt alive would be an understatement! Sure, my strength isn’t where it used to be, but it’s buildable. also i’m not afraid of my starting place because I know where I’m capable of going💜💪🏼

how I’m working out after a month off:

slow,
steady,
smart,
and a smidge of spontaneity.

meaning:

✔️I’m not going in with the mentality to hit a PR in the span of 10 days. I’ll get there slow and steady💜

✔️I’m choosing this time to familiarize my body with ranges of motion it’s used to, but only with greater mindfulness. Improving my mind-to-muscle connection will translate to greater improvements in strength and muscle mass in the future

✔️I’m allowing myself to spice things up when I’m craving a change in pace. I’ll change the scenery, the sport, and get out of my comfort zone. I’ll dive a little deeper into my new fitness routine to show you what it looks like

the workout:

✖️compound lift: triset

Sticking to lighter weights and choosing a trust to build up my training endurance:
- Hip thrust
- Staggered stance hip thrust
- Sumo deadlifts
Performing each exercise for 10 reps each, repeating for 3 rounds

✖️Bend over banded kickback: 3x12 per side (leaning against a wall, you can also perform these on all fours)

✖️Banded abduction and squat - 3x10 per side (using a wall to stabilize form)
