I DIDN’T WORK OUT FOR 4 WEEKS. And my body didn’t collapse in on itself. I didn’t feel an urge to burn my calories. I didn’t battle body image. And I didn’t beat myself up one bit!

Instead, I ate normally, soared to cloud 9, got married, and returned back to my athleticism with a full heart💜

The longer I’ve trained, the more I know this as truth: My body carries only a fragment of my strength. The rest is embedded deep in my heart.I don’t rely on the gym to feel worthy, because something you intrinscally know can’t be chased.

I found a way to workout without using it as a mechanism to feel more loved or valuable. While fitness is my outlet in life, and the way my body looks helps to catalyze my confidence (like hello I’m a badass beast and no longer sick!!), an independent variable will always be that I love myself. Regardless of how many calories I burned that day.

And I wholeheartedly believe in this self-love. It’s allowed me to push through hardship and has given me a breath of fresh air🌞

Picking up my workouts again is a blessing. And it’s not in spite of my skin. But rather for it.💜💪🏼 #growbytheinch #fightfortheinches #fightforgrowth
