Although sometime in the late afternoon the heat was intense and almost intolerable again, you can tell that after yesterday's rain and storm summer is not as merciless as before.

August, the moment so many Italians impatiently wait for to go on vacation, is upon us. But vacation or not, August is the beginning of the end of summer, and I'm not sorry about that at all. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The crowd of the city has thinned dramatically. My traveling plans during August have gone gone out of the window abruptly, but there's a breeze, and god knows I haven't felt this serene, hopeful and grateful during summer in years!

Qui si aspetta il mare come l’ossigeno! Devo essere sincera : non sono una donna pro-estate solitamente , patisco il caldo prepotentemente nonostante io sia nata al Sud e dovrei essere abituata alle temperature calde! E invece no! Però quest’anno ne sento il bisogno. Quindi mi sto facendo trascinare da questa follia che mi passerà in tempo zero una volta assaporati i 43 gradi Made in Puglia 😂😂😂

Summer in Athens is always hot, full of tourists and locals. Like you said, August is coming and locals are visiting villages or animals so the city gets quite. I like summer for the sun, the daylight till 9p.m and August makes me feel sad when I know summer is over. I am certainly not a winter person. Have a wonderful day! 🤗 Your feed is really beautiful

I know exactly how you feel when say you are not sorry to see the back of summer. Unfortunately we’re expecting 40s as of Wednesday here, so I’m trying to be patient. Still.
