Photographing 36,000-year-old paintings was a life- changing event. In that cave I felt 36,000 years collapse, the artists who made those paintings speaking straight to me across that unimaginable gulf of time. The experience is why I started the nonprofit @ancientartarchive. I wanted to use 3D technology to share the experience of being in front of ancient artworks. #chauvet
