As an herbivore, it feeds mainly on heath plants, leaves, and buds of shrubs, but also on grasses and legumes. It’s one of the larger antelope species, reaching over 4 feet (1.2 meters) at the shoulders and weighing as much as 660 pounds (300 kilograms).
