I personally think Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's "modern family" is such an exemplary model. Especially when there are children involved! 42% of people get divorced now, and I think it's so nice when parents can overcome personal issues and show up together for their kids, and even better to support each other's partners. Hopefully showing such a loving "conscious uncoupling" can also help destigmatize divorce so people don't feel they need to stay together unhappily for the kids. 💙 From personal experience, I'm such good friends with one ex (hey @ollielockeworld) and ADORE his fiancé and we've all had dinner together and I'll be at the wedding. I had an acrimonious breakup with another ex, but we met up and made up a year later to let go of hate, and I've since been out with him and his girlfriend (I like her more than him!). Obviously there's no kids involved, so we don't HAVE to be in each other's lives, but either way I think life is way too short to hold grudges and as long as there's respect for each other's relationships getting along is an amazing thing!
