happy easter from mom + me!🌸🐰🐣

spending my April back in our hometown island of Kyūshū . mom flew in to shoot with us. (which she never does) same park, same cherry blossom gazing from when I was little: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
this month has been full of the most personal growth & personal development along with new work development.
but first comes the self, here are the greatest takeaways from my Japanese 🇯🇵mother: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1- life itself is transient, like the cherry blossoms we see the beauty from the passing of time + value it when it’s there and value it as it changes
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2- find your roots to clear the path, I’m the youngest member of the entire Kumai family + the torch is passed on, keep your fam artist legacy alive
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3- be honest, be loyal, be smart, good things come to those who are wise + true
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4- take great care of yourself, practice humility & you’ll have plenty of real collagen in your cheeks
5- choose a partner you can have fun with, travel, laugh and chase big dreams: if you come from different places, it will only help you to be even more mindful. someone cool af (she didn’t say that, but I did)
6- real beauty comes from a glowing spirit + the beat of their heart. anyone can be pretty, but beauty from the inside is the most attractive trait, radiate.
7- struggle was a part of my grandfather’s art legacy, it will be a part of yours, too. nothing great, with passion or new is without struggle.
8- if you can do something great with your life; why not?
The crew and I thanked mom for coming out + sharing her sensei knowledge with us... a school teacher in Encinitas Ca for decades, she’s our favorite bozz xxxx ck
