I wanted to cook, so I paid for culinary school.
I wanted real life grit so I cooked on the line .
I wanted to write books, so I moved from LA to NY

I was a struggling artist, so I learned how to produce, write & host.

I struggled with identity & being in a boys club, so I wrote a book on my heritage
.
I didn’t have money to hire a photographer, so I learned to shoot a camera
.
Nobody understood my most recent book, so I launched a podcast
.
I wanted to help others, so I launched a business & now, we linked to a nonprofit that will help other girls. #fullcircle .
skills are what I had when everyone else got the big shows and the big money
.
that’s it. skills, girls that will keep you golden. ... nobody can take skills away from you. .
stay brave, be confident & resilient
everything works it’s way out & all the good people find their way back to you
