? hanami 花見
it’s that time.
the cherry blossoms remind us that good things do come with time ... this sacred time in japan only comes once a year, for a few weeks. If you can come see it with us, once in your lifetime, I promise it’s worth the soft pink floating snowflake-like imagery, it’s exactly how you imagined it & it can immediately bring peace to your heart .. in japan, we call this “hanami” the practice of flower viewing.
there’s a place where you can always go, to find light, clarity and grace. it’s always inside of your heart + the captivating memories you create. .
My place has always been Japan: this year will be different. I’ll be the first Japanese-American girl, tl write+ produce + direct a docu-series on ancient traditions/heritage for a Japanese network...yes, we are bringing Kintsugi Wellness to life

it’s consequently also the first time I won’t be able to stay at grandma’s house?? which for me, was where I stayed the last 20+years... I suppose this this growth & acceptance, gaman... the pathos of life. .
if you read my books, you know the story.. and how it goes... “mono no aware” the pathos in life: in japan we recognize: sad things, bad things do happen, and one can be stronger + handle it with grace and resilience. .
From this we will learn & grow, which deeming can be painful but growth is such a beautiful thing ????? our ancestors taught us all we really need to know, it’s just my job as a writer/journalist to share and remind us xx .
we still have hanami, we still have light, we still have good people out there and with patience + growth + diligence good things do still come around to all those good people ????? I’ll see you guys in japan xxx this is going to be fking epic x
