Mama bear with spring cubs – There now remains just a few places left on this upcoming Kamchatka 2019 bear experience which I only first announced just last week, such has been the overwhelming response to this once-in-a-lifetime trip. I wanted to show you all another bear video simply because sometimes a video can reveal aspects of behaviour, movements etc that still images simply can’t. On this occasion I ended up shooting this video on my old #samsungs6 because we’d only just arrived in camp minutes earlier and our gear was still being unloaded from the helicopter. That being said when a mama bear and three Spring cubs then starts to casually saunter by along the shores of Kuril Lake, against a staggering backdrop of towering volcanoes it would have been remiss not to try and capture the moment in some small way. The sheer scale and beauty of the place itself is impossible to fully articulate in words. The wildness, the pristine nature of the environment, the staggering number of bears not to mention the privilege of actually being able to stand there, trying my best to simply take it all in. It is without a shadow of a doubt the most spectacular place that I have ever been and I count myself extremely fortunate to be travelling back there this coming July, and taking with me a few fortunate people for whom this will be there very first time.
