Kamchatka bear video – For those who might be interested in joining me at this very location this coming July for a spectacular photographic tour, though non-photographers always welcome, I’ll be journeying back to Russia’s remote but pristine Kamchatka peninsula again for some more time with my beloved bears. This is without doubt the most spectacular place that I have EVER been, both the density and opportunities with the bears has to be experienced to be believed. At any one time we can usually see up to and over 20 bears and here at this remote river location you can just imagine what the photographic possibilities are like. This video, shot on my #samsungs6 shows one of the gigantic males catching a fish and then, very proudly, carrying it off to eat at his leisure. Though Heaven for bears, photographers and wildlife enthusiasts this place must surely be Hell on earth for any passing salmon. During our time in Russia we’ll be working primarily at two locations, one a lake and another a river, both accessed by helicopter, so remote and unique are they. At this particular river location we will be completely alone, except of course for our Russian Park Ranger who has himself more than 15 years of experience living alongside these exact bears. At the other locations then again our group will be alone, quietly observing and watching in awe as these astonishing creatures fish all around us. Places are of course strictly limited and on a first come basis and with a number of places already taken then acting fast would be my advice.
