It’s the place where I bathe, shower & put on my make up, but also where I have solo naked dance parties, sing like if I was - depending on the mood Barbra Streisand, Kendrick Lamar or Chan Marshall. I do a lot of my home exercise in there, I read too. . I’ve always been like that with bathrooms. Maybe part of it is my Moroccan culture? They’re a super important part of the house to me... Even if no one really gets to see it. It’s like a bedroom - it’s a reflection of our interior world that not many get to see, yet that’s where the magic happens ☺️ . I’d been bathroom frustrated for so long! . When it was time to think about my first real bathroom @sarahshermansamuel and I went for it. . I wanted a lot of space for my beauty products. I didn’t want a double sink - a weird pet peeve of mine, don’t judge - and I dreamt of a vanity because I love to be able to sit down to do my make up & whatever grooming stuff a woman has to do. . I of course wanted tile (what’s more beautiful than tile?), and a place as bright as possible, even with a small window. So these light shiny tiles bring that extra glow! Then for stone we chose travertine. It reminded me of interiors of the 80s which I love. I also wanted warm tones - so of course natural untreated wood had to be there. . Then ask Sarah about this amazing round mirror because that’s totally her genius. Having someone to source pieces for you is one of the best parts of working with a designer! . Mmm what else? I’ll show you more about that room soon. And I have to say I feel incredibly lucky I have a space like that, made just for me. I really do. .
