Are some celebrity psychics fooling their audience members by reading social media pages in advance? A group of online vigilantes is out to prove it by using fake Facebook profiles as bait. The Guerllia Skeptics, organized by Susan Gerbic, are focusing on what they call “Grief vampires”: middlebrow psychics who profit by claiming to summon the dead in shows in venues like casinos. When the fake Facebook pages have aged enough to look real and the target psychic is in a town where the crew lives, team members leave their screens, don undercover identities and head out.
