If I’m honest, I’ve been a bit savage with social media recently ? By that I mean I have made sure it works for me ??‍♀️ After having such major surgery my life has changed dramatically, I’ve gone from 5am wake ups, killer workouts and exciting travels to mooching around my house in a onesie. Now I do enjoy the sloth life but let’s be real, it’s pretty alien to me ? And social media has the ability to make me very aware of the lifestyle I’m not living. The workouts I’m not doing. The travels I’m not taking. So, I’ve implemented some changes with instagram specifically 1️⃣ In general, I’m spending less time on it. Basic, but it works. 2️⃣ I’m only watching stories of people who brighten my day. You don’t make me happy? Sorry I ain’t watching you ??‍♀️ #sassy 3️⃣ I’m mainly following cute animals. Not even joking. ?? 4️⃣ I’ve found & followed people who are going through a similar experience, it’s so reassuring to relate to someone. 5️⃣ I have stopped scrolling. I genuinely don’t scroll through the main feed right now. That content is too perfect for me. I like the more natural nature of stories ? 6️⃣ I have actually muted a handful of people who didn’t make me feel great. Don’t be afraid to use the unfollow button either. You are in control of what you see online, use that power ?? These are just temporary measures until I’m back to my usual routine, but they’re working wonders ??
