This is a poem to myself
To say I love you. ?
I’m sure you already know by now that I'm a huge fan of Valentine’s Day because it celebrates love, and every single one of us is worthy of love no matter our relationship status. So what a better day to think about the things we love about ourselves and the people in our lives. I don’t know about you guys, but over the years I’ve spent a lot of time picking apart bits of myself I don’t like and focussing on the people who don’t love me back. We wouldn’t tolerate friends who put us down all the time, so we shouldn’t accept it of ourselves. ❤️
It’s never too late to change your mentality. Do things tomorrow that make you feel good: text the people who’ve been there for you, buy your friends flowers, wear sexy lingerie, stop yourself every time you have a negative thought about yourself… and then repeat every single day until it becomes second nature. I’ve even started to love the rolls I used to spend years trying to hide. ?
So Happy Valentine’s Day to each and everyone of you, sending you all love.
