I said I'd dedicate this week to ensuring you don't feel lonely or sad about your single relationship status in the days leading up to Valentine's Day. ?
When people used to tell me they were happy single, i used to think they were either lying to me or to themselves. ? After four years of some real highs and lows of being single, I feel stronger and more empowered than ever. I am strong and I know my worth,and because of that my next relationship will be with a powerful soul who enhances me and makes me stronger. It won't be someone to hide behind because I don't know how to be alone. Society makes us feel like being single is some sort of failure, but personally I think settling or not having time to really know yourself is a bigger one. How many friends do we know who constantly complain about their other halves but are too scared to be alone? ?
Comparing your relationship status to someone else's is like comparing your career progression: pointless. People can be loved up one year and divorced the next. Alone one year and blissfully in love the next.
If you find yourself alone this year, enjoy the opportunity to grow into the best version of yourself so you attract the best version of someone else. Celebrate love by going on a blind date, spending time with your friends, or spending time alone with a film and your favourite food. Single or not, you are whole and worth love. ❤️
