On the coldest day last week, I picked Mazzy up from school and took her to ride bumper cars on ice in Bryant Park. She was really excited until we both almost froze over waiting in line— it was 17°! You have to buy tickets and book a specific time before you go, but there is still a wait, so dress warmly. I think at one point, I lost feeling in my feet. Totally worth it though and they let you stay on for a decent amount of time. It was so cold, I only got one blurry pic of Mazzy before I needed to put my fingers back in gloves. And yes, I know, some of you have been dealing with negative double digit temperatures, but I bet you weren’t waiting in line outside for an hour! Afterwards, we ran inside the food court to get warm. I asked Mazzy if she wanted hot chocolate. She said, “No, I’ll have smoked brisket” and pointed to the smokehouse vendor. So, that’s what ate until our fingers and toes thawed ???
