Late night respite in my favorite little nook at home. Sometimes the only way I can make sense out of my own thoughts is to just sit and write. I’ve had several ask me for suggestions on how to approach journaling. I often start with a quote or two that resonate with where I’m at and then from there I just start letting my own musings flow. It doesn’t have to be eloquently expressed or articulated, the point is just to bridge thoughts to paper. For me it’s therapeutic because I’m a thinker and sometimes I need a healthy release or constructive approach in walking through some of those areas. Other times something as simple as doodling a picture or watercoloring can help create movement with thoughts too. All it is is a tangible shift of focus or perspective that help me go from feeling internally stuck to walking again. Do any of you relate?
