You asked for more! Grocery shopping fun fact: Organic produce always begins with a ‘9’ on the serial number. I don’t buy ALL of my things organic but fruits and veggies are usually at the top of the list when I do!

The difference between organic and conventional comes down to the pesticides and fertilizers used. Conventional bananas are grown with synthetic fertilizers, insecticides, and herbicides to protect the crops whereas organic farmers use natural fertilizers. Yes, you peel the fruit but the chemicals arent just on the outside of the banana - they leach into the soil that is used to grow the produce as well. Sooo to avoid the pesticide residue buy organic

If you’re on a budget (because yes, organic can be more expensive) apples, cherries, grapes, nectarines, peaches, pears, raspberries, strawberries have very high pesticide residues so you might want to splurge on those!
