In one of my previous relationships I remember jokingly telling my ex ‘I’m mad at you’ for something silly (can’t remember the scenario). He smiled, started a stop watch on his phone and then minutes later asked me ‘if I was done pouting yet’. I started laughing and said yes and asked him what the heck he was doing counting the time. He stopped the clock, showed me and told me I would never get those minutes of my life back and to remember that the next time I decided to be mad. After all, the way we react to things is indeed OUR choice. That simple lesson has stuck with me to this day and has completely changed my attitude when I go through emotions (mind you I’m a female so I have plenty ?).

Moral of the story: you don’t get time back so why waste it being angry or vengeful? ??‍♀️
