It’s a delectable pairing: a good book and a sweet treat. The New York City-based graphic designer @bdenzer reimagines the combination like no other. He’s the creator of @ice_cream_books, an Instagram account that pairs “great reads and frozen desserts.” In June, the @ニューヨーク・タイムズ Sunday Book Review asked @bdenzer to create 10 pairings, including those you see here: “Under the Jaguar Sun,” by Italo Calvino, with a cone of Sharon’s mango sorbet; Osamu Dazai’s “The Setting Sun,” with a @skinnycowus Vanilla Gone Wild ice cream sandwich; J.G. Ballard’s “Empire of the Sun,” with a @goodhumor_icecream Strawberry Shortcake dessert bar; “Two Under the Indian Sun,” by Jon and Rumer Godden, under 2 @nestle vanilla sandwiches; and “Too Much Sun,” by Lee Olds, with @edys classic vanilla ice cream — and a cherry on top. #??What’s on your summer reading list?
