The ‘Wall Street 100’ series is Spanish artist José-María Cano’s most celebrated body of work. Made entirely from wax, the series depicts portraits of the world’s financial elites, taken from images used in the Wall Street Journal. The surfaces are replete with bumps, drips and tracks of wax, the medium used lending the works a three-dimensional quality. ‘Game Changers: José-María Cano’, a Sotheby’s S|2 selling exhibition marking the artist’s debut show in Hong Kong, is on view until 2 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. #SothebysContemporary#HongKong
