This highlight is a rare, unpublished proof by Andy Warhol which never became a full edition. The image of Marilyn Monroe was taken from a publicity photograph for the 1953 film 'Niagara'.

Warhol used the same shot to create his 1967 ‘Marilyn’ portfolio, and many other painted depictions of the actress.
