Faringdon House was the home of Lord Berners, composer, painter, diplomat and writer, and Robert ‘Mad Boy’ Heber-Percy. Among their guests were the most avant-garde talents of the day, including Igor Stravinsky, Salvador Dali, Gertrude Stein, Cecil Beaton and the Mitford sisters.
