On 27 February, our 20th Century Week auctions in London launches with our highly anticipated Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale.

A highlight of the evening, this painting by Claude Monet depicts one of his most frequent motifs at the time: the ever-changing meadow near his new home in Giverny.

Monet first discovered this pasture in the summer of 1884. Over the next two years, he dedicated himself to depicting the site from multiple viewpoints and in a myriad of atmospheric conditions.

‘Prairie à Giverny’ is on view at our London gallery from 20–27 February. Entry is free and open to all.
