If you’re like me and have a big time weakness for chips, try baking some sweet potato chips! You’ll still get the crunchy texture and great taste without the guilt ??. These are definitely a favorite at our house. Here’s how to get your chip “fix”, the healthier way ..

Peel two sweet potatoes.

Slice them into thin pieces using a knife or mandoline slicer.

Throw the slices into a bowl and add a TBSP of olive oil. Mix them together.

Place the chips on a baking sheet (I like to cover the sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking).

Sprinkle on seasoning of your choice! In this batch I used a little seasalt and some pepper on one half and cinnamon on the other half.

The baking is tricky! You’ll need to test this out on your own. It might take a couple batches to find correct heat and time. If you want to do a quick batch, you can cook chips at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. But it’s a lot easier to burn the chips this way. If you have the time, it’s better to cook at 200-220 degrees for 1.5-2.0 hours. This way will dry out the chips at a nice slow pace without burning them!
