Glad to meet so many young people at @outwardboundsg when I attended their 50th anniversary celebrations yesterday. Some were a little tired, but most were in good spirits.
OBS has shaped many Singaporean childhoods, including my own. The experience is a challenging and valuable one: adolescents roughing it out in the outdoors, and learning to be tough and tenacious. Our youth need to be rugged and resilient, and embody the Outward Bound motto: “To serve, to strive, and not to yield”. See if you can spot any friends in the photos!
