Welcomed Britain’s Prince Charles and his wife Camilla to the Istana this morning. This is only his second official visit to Singapore - the last time was in 1979, 38 years ago!
Singapore and the UK enjoy a long and close relationship. The British community in Singapore is the largest in Southeast Asia. We also have a large Singaporean diaspora in the UK, many of them students.
Look forward to meeting the Prince and Duchess again during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in London next year. – LHL (MCI Photo by LH Goh)
