This #Faberg silver and enamel case, decorated with Irises in the #Japanese style, was made in Moscow at the turn of the twentieth century. It once belonged to Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich. Born in the Winter Palace in St Petersburg in April 1847, he was the son of Emperor Alexander II of Russia. The case will now be offered at Sotheby’s London as part of our #RussianArt Sales on 28 November. Exhibition opens on November 24 #SothebysRussian
