So the oven didn't arrive (?see last post), and I thought if baking is not an option tonight, then one must opt for spritz, or a martini! ?
The truth is that I have never been so big on alcohol, even less eager on cocktails. I'm quite an easy wine drinker though. It's quieter, yet deeper and more fascinating. I have always been very keen to the cinematographic image of being a "regular" at a certain bar, asking the barman for the "usual", while spilling out your heart for a total stranger, or just listen to the random stories of the people of the night.
This place here (@pantaleoroma) could be that sort of bar. It's right in the heart of the eternal city, but it's somehow a bit from all the buzz. The food is not typically Italian, there's a bit of east Asia and a bit of south America (as everywhere else, recently) and much more, and there's very well assorted bar, for the real drinker. Those who crave and understand the joys of good a cocktail. As the barman put it "a good martini makes you you confess, and you'll eventually come back for more". It's worth the try. I liked the one with the capers. ?✨
