All my 6 senses, and all the lenses and cameras in the world together, could not capture the magnificence of Fusine lakes. And I'm not even talking about its "inner essence", or the feeling that the scene transcends you. I'm literally talking about dimensions! The majestic Alpes, snow-clad already on the first day of Autumn, the dark and rich forest, the turquoise, ice cold water. You can't see them all in one glance. First you need to catch your breath from the awe, then you can start to look around.
I celebrated the first day of #autumn by walking around these two lakes in the northest point of eastern Italy, at the borders of Austria and Slovenia. (More in the stories)

I am on a short holiday in the mountains, where it's cold but not freezing, and the nature is unlike anything I have ever seen in my life. Initially I didn't even want to bring my camera, but then I knew I would regret it. I have tried to not be very connected in these days, but I think I have failed. So far I have taken a billion pictures (I know I'll regret this in editing) and you can tell a beautiful, long blog post is due after this. Possibly with a hearty, warm recipe from the mountains. What do you prefere? Goulash with polenta or a cake?
