Glad to welcome Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán Viktor to Singapore for his first official visit.
Hungary and Singapore are natural partners despite our differences in size. Hungary is a gateway to Central and Eastern Europe, while Singapore can be the launch pad for Hungarian businesses to Southeast Asia. Yesterday, we signed three MOUs to expand cooperation in aviation, education, science and research. Hungary has world class talent in science and mathematics, as well as research institutions. My maths supervisor in Cambridge, Professor Béla Bollabás, was Hungarian!
