✨a d a p t a t i o n Today was one of those special days, where dad called to say congrats on the apartment. For those of you who know my dad, he's a man of very few words + doesn't usually call. He is the hardest working guy I know, full of integrity + grit. He audited a nuclear power plant for over 30 years, he served in the US Navy prior to that. He always reminded me, that in his job there was zero room for error. He learned to adjust his sails with the changing wind + he taught me to adapt to any new circumstances. He reminds me, that in the toughest moments, the painful ones, the are truly minuscule in perspective to the large picture. A waste of space and time. If we learn to adapt to change, we can grow exponentially, achieving our goals + living with contentment. I often think that my parents are so successful, because they raised two daughters who gave their everything to be independent small biz owners. Although, they would never consider themselves successful. NY and London are not playing small. Jenni and I often wonder, what the heck did they do when we were kids? They pushed us, they challenged us to do better, they constantly told us we could be and do anything we wanted, but we also watched them. Their level of preparation and adaptation continues to inspire me, my work and my heart. Sometimes, all it takes is a simple thought-- your mom and dad, to touch your heart and bring you back home. Brooklyn, for now, is my spot ❤️be flex, adapt and overcome your fears xxx ck Oh and PS, they were just on their way to Costco when they called ???? #adidasambassador #yogaeverydamnday #yogainspiration #spiritualjourney
