Had a fruitful dialogue with community and religious leaders yesterday. My last one was more than two years ago. Since then the terror threat has grown. We have seen more terrorist attacks, exclusivist views, and Islamophobia.
These are serious, unavoidable topics, and we need to get comfortable discussing them. Last week, I held a similar dialogue with Muslim leaders. I met them first because they are on the frontline. But this is not their fight alone. We are all in this together.

We celebrated Racial Harmony Day last Friday. It’s a reminder to reach out and make friends with people of different races and religions, in order to live harmoniously together as one nation, one Singapore. – LHL (MCI Photo by Terence Tan)
