Dear Baby L,

I know you don't like to be pressured. You have a comfortable home right now where you feel safe and I have a feeling that, just like me, the more people are trying to push you to do something the less inclined you are to move forward. That's ok. You like to do things your own way, in your own time. I understand that because I'm exactly the same. We are both stubborn and determined and, frankly, a little set in our ways. And that's a good thing.
However. I would like for you to start thinking about making your way out into the world now. This is important. Your mom and dad want you to be born at home where it's quiet and we can be outside in the garden and cuddle the dogs and bring you forward in warm, comfortable water. It's going to be absolutely beautiful but: you have to take my hand and start.
This might feel like a scary transition but I promise you, I'll be here every step of the way! For the rest of your life. We love you so much and you are so, so safe. This side of the world is beautiful. I promise. There are sunrises to watch and puppies to play with and yummy food to eat and oceans - oceans - of love waiting for you.
