The sky before evening meditation tonight?
I'm still leading meditation circles twice a week at @island.yoga and I get blown away by the community every time. I light candles and burn palo santo and mix silence with music and discourses and we sit together holding space for an hour. It's beautiful. Poppy is more active than ever and the hour just flies by, me with my hands on my belly, her twirling around like a Sufi dancer. Sitting in silence with her is so easy.
We went to the midwife today and even though people around me are starting to get uncomfortable about how "overdue" I am I am feeling more trusting than ever. They wanted to set a date for an induction today but I'm refusing. This baby will be born at home, in peace. I'm only 8 days past my due date and don't feel any rush at all anymore. If I hit 14 days and she is still not here, ok, I'll go along with whatever is needed. But right now I feel deeply that being pushed toward drugs and medical interference is totally crazy! She is super active and moving a ton and her heartbeat is strong as ever; no reason to believe she needs to be forced out. (note: if there was any danger to her wellbeing of course I would do whatever it takes, but there is no indication of that at all). Tomorrow we are doing a scan so that everyone around us can stay relaxed... But I'm relaxed already. Trusting in our intuition.
