I’m plodding familiar territory rising earlier and earlier with the sun - that beautiful hazy pink morning a sure sign of the change in season - all the while prepared for a few last gasps from winter- I made my way to the market early this morning for weeked provisions, all manner of green and eggs and herbs and a delightful surprise - bunches of new to me, mizuna greens - leafy and delicate with a slight bitterness but much less sharp than dandelion greens - i image they are as wonderful raw as they would be wilted into a dish but a treat either way - home again and channeling Constance Spry - popping eggs in bowls and greens in glasses - letting these beauties decorate the counters of the city cottage
